London – November 30th, 2020: WTA is pleased to announce the acquisition of Agylia Group Limited by its client Civica UK Limited.

Civica Group strengthens its position in human capital management capability with cloud solutions for learning management.

Civica, a global leader in software for public services, has acquired specialist educational software provider Agylia Group Ltd.

Founded in the UK in 2000, Agylia is a specialist digital learning company which helps organisations around the world support, develop and engage their people through innovative learning management and eLearning solutions.

In line with Civica’s focused growth strategy, Agylia adds cloud software capability to extend the Group’s position in established markets. Its learning management software complements Civica’s broad suite of workforce management solutions, which range from recruitment, HR & Payroll to field service management, employee engagement and occupational health. The acquisition also supports the company’s growth with Software as a Service (SaaS) applications allied to its cloud-first approach.

Agylia currently supports over 200,000 learners across multiple industries with its award-winning digital learning platforms. Its customer base includes the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Health Education England, Royal Society for Public Health, National Grid, Samaritans and Microsoft Corp.

The Agylia Learning Management System (LMS) enables the delivery of digital and blended learning experiences to employees and external audiences. Mobile learning apps provide online and offline access. A fully integrated CPD platform allows customers to support their people with modern learning and planning, tracking and auditing.

The company recently launched Agylia Care, to support a mobile workforce of family and professional carers with clinically assured guides, videos and podcasts. With more than eight million carers in the UK, there is high demand to ensure standards of care in an environment with sustained recruiting to deal with current pressures. Available on mobile, tablet or desktop, Agylia Care covers an extended library of content for NHS Trusts, care providers and local government in areas including children’s care, dementia, mental health and support.

Wayne Story, Civica Group CEO, said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Agylia to the Civica Group. The acquisition supports our focus on delivering innovative solutions to help customers engage, develop and support their people effectively through the complete employee lifecycle. With more organisations then ever adopting digital learning as we adapt to more remote working, we look forward to this new partnership to create new opportunities for the Group and to drive better outcomes for our customers and their employees.”

Tim Buff, Managing Director, Agylia Group added: “We are dedicated to helping all our customers support their people with innovative learning and support tools delivered wherever they need them. This is a key time to join the Civica Group and we’re both confident and excited about the combined opportunities we have to innovate, grow and reach new markets together.”
