London – January 8th, 2015 – WTA is pleased to have advised on the sale of Halcyon Software (“Halcyon”), an international software solutions business delivering pro-active systems monitoring to corporates, managed services providers and data centre operations, a multi-platform solution for enterprise class systems across IBM Power Systems (IBM i, AIX, Linux) and Windows.

Halcyon was founded by Lorraine Cousins, has its head office in Peterborough, England and subsidiaries in Raleigh, NC, USA and Melbourne, Australia along with a well-developed global agent and reseller network. The company’s products reduce the complexity of systems monitoring and automation and ensure that mission-critical systems, core applications and services are available 24/7.

Particularly noteworthy is that Halcyon Software (www.halcyonsoftware.com) has some of the most well-known managed services providers and data centres relying on the Company’s products to deliver the highest level of customer service and efficiency to their own customer base.

Jeffrey Jenner said “this is a very pleasing success for not only is it another international mandate successfully completed but it is the second time we have transacted a business with Help Systems (www.helpsystems.com “WTA was recommended to me by another business owner who had sold his software business through the company.

WTA worked with the company as their exclusive M&A advisor.

Lorraine was very pleased to provide her testimonial to WTA’s effectiveness.

“Right from the start it was obvious that the principals knew everything there was to know about selling businesses in this niche market. They were skilful negotiators, tireless workers with an immense amount of patience. Nothing was too much trouble. WTA were was always available, day and night – and weekends.

I received very wise counsel during the process and I was very grateful for the guidance throughout. I had no idea about the amount of work we had to undertake during the Due Diligence process and there were times when I needed a prod in the right direction – it was supplied but always in a very nice way.

In the end, I was very pleased with the eventual deal that was negotiated on our behalf. I would wholeheartedly recommend WTA to anyone thinking of selling an IT-related business. I shall always be grateful to them for what they achieved for me personally.”

This transaction won the ‘Acquisitions Monthly’ award for ‘Innovation in Mid-Market Technology’
