Harris Computer Systems acquires Force Information Systems

London – December 5th, 2019: WTA advises Harris Computer Systems on acquisition of leading police force software company Force Information Systems.

WTA Partners recently advised Harris Computer Corporation (“Harris”) on its acquisition of Force Information Systems Ltd (“FIS”)  a provider of software solutions for Police Professional Standards Departments. Harris is a leading provider of mission-critical software for Public Safety agencies, Utilities, and Municipal Governments. It has has over 3,600 employees and 10,000 customers throughout North America and Europe. The transaction completed on November 4th.

Founded in 1988 FIS was formed to develop solutions for the Police Service. Since then they have developed, or helped others develop, almost the complete range of applications suitable for Police Forces in the U.K. and now offer six distinct products.
