London, 28th February 2023: WTA Partners can today announce the acquisition of their cyber security sector client Savanti by FSP, a leading provider of digital transformation services.
Savanti Limited are a strategic cyber security consultancy with a team of almost fifty. Their expertise covers strategy, security leadership, architecture design, identity and security risk assessments for enterprise clients. Savanti appointed WTA Partners as exclusive M&A advisors to facilitate the sale of the business.
FSP Consulting Services Limited provides a range of consultancy services to large companies and public sector organisations spanning digital transformation, cloud engineering, data and artificial intelligence and cyber security.
Savanti’s management team, led by CEO Richard Brinson, will become shareholders in this newly enlarged business, with Richard and his Savanti co-founder and COO, Matt Taylor, taking a wider leadership role in the combined group. The merged operation is expected to generate revenues of around £30m in the current year and employ over 250 digital transformation and cyber specialists. Both companies grew revenues by c.50% in their most recent trading year.
Richard Brinson, CEO of Savanti, said: “We spent a great deal of time and consideration looking for the right partner to accelerate Savanti’s growth, and FSP stood head and shoulders above the rest in terms of culture fit, synergies and scale of opportunity. The acquisition will enable us to offer a greater breadth and depth of cyber services, improve our time to market and further develop our international presence. This is a hugely exciting time for all our colleagues and a great outcome for our clients.”
Referring to WTA Partners’ contribution Richard added: “Choosing an advisor was not a decision we took lightly, so we certainly did our research. What struck us about WTA versus the typical corporate finance teams was the breadth and depth of experience of all of the individuals, having been entrepreneurs in their own right before gaining vast experience in the M&A space. WTA were able to identify and gain the interest of several high quality suitors, with a range of options and deal types for us to consider, which ultimately led to the chosen partnership with FSP. We are very grateful to Jeffrey and the team for making this transaction happen.”
Jeffrey Jenner, Partner of WTA, commented: “I am thrilled that we have made it possible for Savanti and FSP to join forces as the businesses are highly complementary and have a very similar culture. The transaction itself further reinforces WTA’s position as a leading mid-market advisor to cloud services companies. I wish Richard, Matt and all the team at Savanti the greatest success for the future.”
