London – December 10th, 2018: WTA is pleased to announce the acquisition of Trac Systems by its client Partners Group-backed Civica UK Limited.
Software and services group extends capability for health care sector and wider public services with addition of cloud software for recruitment
Civica Group, the market leader in business-critical software, digital solutions and managed services for the public sector and regulated markets, has announced that Civica UK Limited, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, has acquired specialist e-recruitment software provider Trac Systems Limited and its subsidiary Zedcore Systems Limited.
Trac Systems provides cloud software and related services for the complete recruitment process, from advertising vacancies and managing applications to on-boarding and induction. Its intelligent ISO 27001-accredited application management software for the NHS and wider public sector delivers a faster, better and cheaper way to recruit, while supporting compliance with employment and other legislation.
In line with Civica’s continued growth strategy, the acquisition adds further specialist capability which the Group does not currently offer. With a strong track record since 2000, Trac Systems extends Civica’s presence and expertise in existing and adjacent market sectors. In particular, Trac Systems’ cloud software is used by approximately 160 UK NHS Trusts, extending the Group’s capability in health and care where Civica works with more than 400 customer organisations.
Trac Systems is also the fifth largest DBS Umbrella body in the UK, handling in excess of 150,000 applications a year.
While the business will form part of an enlarged health & care division for Civica, the Trac Systems software-as-a-service (SaaS) capability is relevant to customers across the Group that require recruitment management solutions and is expected to bring good opportunities for cross-sales in the UK and internationally.
Wayne Story, Civica Group CEO, said, “I am delighted to welcome Trac Systems to Civica. The company’s cloud software is the recruitment system of choice for the NHS and we look forward to building on our combined capabilities in the health care sector and more widely to deliver increasing value to customers and stakeholders.”
Simon Headington, director at Trac Systems, said, “Effective recruitment and retention is a high priority for all organisations and our customers are increasingly dependent on modern technology. We are excited to be joining the market-leading Civica group as the next stage of our development, a move which will allow us to continue our current activities while benefitting from the capabilities, resources and opportunities of the wider Group.”
Robert Stroud, Civica UK’s corporate development director, said, “We’ve been working with WTA’s advisory services during this year and we’re delighted that this is the third strategic transaction we’ve closed in as many months. We look forward to continuing our partnership during 2019.”
