LONDON, 19th March 2024: WTA Partners (WTA) can today announce the latest additions to our UK transaction team. Graeme Millar and Tim Porter are both highly experienced IT industry veterans who bring a combined seventy plus years’ tech experience with them to WTA.

Graeme Millar has a thirty year track record of success and has significant international experience, having lived and worked in eight countries, across Western and Central Europe, as well as Russia and the USA. These include for major telecom companies, including Motorola, Vodafone and MTS. Most recently he was CEO of Velos IoT (formerly JT IoT) and before that was CEO for twelve years at JT Group, the national operator of telecom services in Jersey.

Graeme will bring his commercial and M&A experience to support new clients especially those which are the smaller telcos and carriers, UK alternative network providers (”altnets”) and IoT businesses.

WTA Partner, Jeffrey Jenner, on Graeme Millar joining:

“Graeme joining the team is a very significant development for WTA. We can now offer our successful M&A services to the telecommunications sector, whilst keeping to our proven model of a transaction team that’s made up of only the most experienced, successful and accomplished technology sector practitioners. I look forward to working closely with him.”

Tim Porter joins WTA with more than forty years of technology industry experience. Most recently he built a portfolio of vertical market software businesses in the transport sector for Volaris Inc., acquiring companies in the UK, France, Australia and the US. During his career Tim has held executive and director levels positions at companies operating in a wide variety of sectors, including transportation, local and central government, defence, higher education, energy and manufacturing.

Tim has since established himself within the M&A industry as a consultant and advisor in the buying and integration of small to medium-sized software businesses. He has also provided strategic and operational advice to software businesses as a non-executive director and board advisor.

WTA Partner, Alan Butterworth, commented on Tim Porter joining:

“It is a pleasure to welcome Tim to the team. His deep operational and acquisition experience in a broad spectrum of technology sectors will be of huge benefit to both WTA and our clients. We expect our existing strengths in many of these specialist areas will benefit not only from Tim’s extensive knowledge but also his rich network of contacts.”
