London – July 15th, 2016 – WTA is pleased to announce in the sale of Ardenta Limited (“Ardenta”), a UK-based IT services provider, to Claranet. Ardenta specialises in the managed hosting of high availability websites, with expertise in high-volume transactional database management.

Established in 2001, the Middlesex-based company works with a wide range of sectors and has a particular focus on media and e-gaming. Ardenta counts the BBC, ITV, Ladbrokes and William Hill among its customers. The company will become part of the Claranet Group of companies, and Ardenta’s co-founders, Neil Truby and Scott Hanson, will work alongside Claranet’s senior management team to integrate the business and foster continued growth.

Jeffrey Jenner said “We were delighted to complete this sale of a managed hosting company adding to our successful record of completing transactions in the sector. We are pleased too that the buyer was of the quality of the fast-growing Claranet Group, as both companies are highly compatible in both culture and strategy.”

WTA worked with the company as their exclusive M&A advisor.

Neil Truby explained “when we made the decision to find a buyer for Ardenta it was important for us to select the right advisors to help us through the process. We interviewed several and WTA came to us with a recommendation from a mutual contact. From the very first meeting, WTA’s specific knowledge and understanding of the IT Industry was clear to see, and with it came an open and direct approach which we liked very much.

Throughout the process they were hardworking, thorough and always available. Their contacts in the Industry were impressive and once we were all clear on what we were looking for they set about finding the right Company to acquire Ardenta. WTA found exactly the right fit for our business in Claranet and worked hard all the way through the process to bring it to a successful conclusion. At each stage if any potential hurdle developed WTA would work it through to the mutual benefit of both sides to come to a reasonable and acceptable way forward. It has been a pleasure working with WTA on this project and I would not hesitate in recommending their services to anyone seeking to buy or sell a business in the IT sector.”
