WTA Partners (“WTA”) today announces the acquisition of Plianz (Plianz.com), a provider of local government and legal software solutions by Idox plc (idoxgroup.com).

Plianz’s solutions includes Caspar (Trojan Consultants), a financial management platform used by over 60 local authorities and several legal firms acting as deputies and appointees managing the assets of vulnerable adults. It also includes Engage, an omni-channel virtual assistant platform, used for automating engagement between citizens and organisations across the UK, including several local authorities.

This acquisition aligns perfectly with Idox’s strategy to invest in technology that boosts organisational efficiency and delivers better outcomes for people and communities. By integrating Plianz’s capabilities, Idox will further expand its offering in the health and care sector, supporting local authorities and care providers with the tools to improve care pathways, streamline case management, and enhance service delivery.

Chris Evans, Divisional Director, Community Solutions said:

“The acquisition of Plianz reflects our continued focus on building a stronger, broader portfolio of products. I’m excited to welcome Geri Burton and the Plianz team to Community Solutions.”

Reflecting on working with WTA, Jonathan Legdon, COO of Idox commented:

“WTA, led by Alan Butterworth, played a significant role in bringing the parties together with their knowledge of the businesses and the market. Their expertise and advice helped to smooth the transaction process to a successful conclusion enabling us to bring Plianz into the Idox family and enhancing our community solutions market proposition.”

Alan Butterworth, WTA Partners added:

“I’m delighted at being able to bring the Idox and Plianz businesses together, it’s a strategic win-win for both companies and enables Idox to further expand its footprint into their core market. This also consolidates our position as a strategic advisor within the public sector marketplace.”
