WTA Partners (“WTA”) today announces the acquisition of Datatank Limited (“Datatank”) by its client, London-based specialist investment management and private equity investor, Omni Partners (“Omni”). Datatank is an established provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for local government.
Founded in 2004, Datatank has been a trusted partner to over 160 UK local authorities. The company is renowned for its innovative use of credit bureau data, combined with council tax data, to identify inaccurate or fraudulent Single Person Discount (“SPD”) claims. This helps councils sustainably increase revenue by addressing a pressing issue: substantial revenue loss from fraudulent SPD claims. Beyond SPD solutions, Datatank also offers cloud-based software for collaborative working within the public sector.
Datatank will be integrated into Infoshare+, Omni’s rapidly expanding platform of targeted data and software solutions for the public sector, which launched in October 2024. This integration underscores Infoshare+’s commitment to helping organisations leverage data and technology for positive impact, working towards seamless, connected, and efficient public services.
This acquisition reinforces Omni’s strategy to build a market-leading platform of software and data solutions tailored to the needs of the public sector, further cementing Infoshare+’s reputation as a trusted partner. The establishment of the Infoshare+ platform followed on from Omni’s acquisition of Infoshare back in 2024, which was also conducted by WTA Partners.
